For the second straight year the Terps lose to Middle Tennessee State University. I wasn't at Byrd Stadium as I had a prior committment with my son but you can't turn the ball over as often as Maryland did today (3 fumbles, 1 interception) and expect to win. With a minute and a half left in the game and the Terps up 31-29, they faced a 4th down and 3 yards to go on the MTSU 25 yard line. Instead of going for it, the Terps opted to attempt a 42 yard field goal. They missed. MTSU took over and with no time outs, marched 73 yards to the Terps two yard line and kicked the game winning field goal with no time left on the clock.
Next up for the Terps: Saturday 9/26 Rutgers at Byrd Stadium, 3:30 PM
