Monday Update

From various message boards:

Maryland Coach Ralph Friedgen has told his players to expect him to coach the Terps vs East Carolina in the Military Bowl on December 29th.

Maryland AD Kevin Anderson has informed the Terps assistant coaches that the school will pay out the remainder of their contracts and has asked them to coach the team through the Military Bowl according to a source with intimate knowledge of the situation.

The source said Anderson met with the assistants on Saturday night and told them that Maryland will honor contracts, even if they are not retained by the team's next head coach.

Former Texas Tech Head Coach Mike Leach is leading candidate to coach the Terps.
