Some notes based on what I heard on the radio. Johnny Holliday, Jonathan Claiborne and Tim Strachan were clutch on the radio today for this Terps fan as it really hurt not being there today.
Terps held Clemson to 274 yards which is the fewest allowed by Maryland this year. Clemson running back C.J. Spiller, who became the ACC’s career leader in all-purpose yards, was held to just to 72 rushing yards. Another impressive stat for the Terps is they held the Tigers to 4-of-16 on third downs.
Running Back Da'Rel Scott broke his wrist and is probably out for the season. Scott had over 1,000 yards last season. Gary Douglas, Davin Meggett and Morgan Green will play running back the rest of the season.
Terps fans didn't disappoint today as Clemson was called for two false-start penalties towards the end of the first half. Don't stop believin' Terps fans, be loud and proud!
Freshman Kicker Nick Ferrara stepped up big time today. He made his only field goal attempt from 43 yards plus all three extra points. Substituting for injured Punter Travis Baltz, Ferrara had four punts downed inside the 20, including a 61 yarder that put Clemson on their own 4 yard line.
